September is a special month at Boody.
It’s our birthday month but there’s even more reason to celebrate. With World Bamboo Day and Heritage Day falling in September, it’s the perfect time to reflect on the material that has been part of our story from the beginning, bamboo and the values that continue to shape what we make.
It All Starts with Bamboo
Bamboo has always been at the heart of Boody.
We chose bamboo for its naturally soft feel, breathability, moisture-wicking properties and qualities that make it particularly well suited to everyday essentials worn close to the skin.
From our Classic Bikini and Full Briefs to our Wireless T-Shirt Bra, sleepwear and loungewear, bamboo helps us create pieces designed to feel good from morning to night but our story has never been just about choosing bamboo.
Better Materials. Considered Standards.
We believe that knowing what goes into the things we wear matters.
That’s why different Boody products and materials are supported by recognized certifications and standards. Each one tells a different part of the story from where our materials come from to how our fabrics are tested and the standards we hold ourselves to ECOCERT
Our bamboo is organically grown and certified by ECOCERT, an independent organization that verifies organic and environmental standards. This gives greater transparency around the origins of one of the most important materials in our products.
OEKO-TEX® Standard 100
What goes into a fabric matters, especially when it’s worn close to the skin. OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 tests textiles for harmful substances to ensure they meet strict safety requirements.
FSC®
The Forest Stewardship Council® promotes responsible management of the world’s forests. FSC certification helps provide assurance that forest-based materials come from responsibly managed sources.
PETA-Approved Vegan
Our PETA-Approved Vegan certification reflects our commitment to creating products without animal-derived materials. It’s another part of our plant-based approach to everyday essentials.
B Corp
And our commitment goes beyond individual products. As a certified B Corporation, Boody is assessed across areas including governance, workers, community, environment and customers. Our latest B Corp score of 134.4 reflects our continued work towards using business as a force for good.
For us, conscious choices aren't about perfection. They're about continuing to ask better questions and finding better ways to do things.

Why Bamboo Still Matters
World Bamboo Day is a chance to celebrate one of the world's most versatile plants and the role it can play in creating more considered alternatives.
Bamboo has been used for generations across cultures for everything from construction and crafts to food and textiles.
For Boody, it became the foundation for creating everyday clothing that combines comfort, simplicity and a more thoughtful approach to materials and that's something worth celebrating.
What We Wear Becomes Part of Our Story
Heritage Day reminds us to celebrate where we come from the traditions, people, knowledge and resources that shape us but heritage isn't only about the past.
It's also about what we choose to carry forward.
The materials we use.
The products we create.
The things we buy.
The world we leave behind.
Our everyday choices may feel small but together they can help shape what comes next.
Here's to Another Year of Boody
This September, we're celebrating more than another year.
We're celebrating bamboo, better questions, everyday comfort and the journey towards doing things more thoughtfully.
From the first layer you put on in the morning to the softest part of your bedtime routine, thank you for making Boody part of your everyday.
Happy birthday to us and here's to many more years of comfort, naturally.
